MecaNano Workshop at CEMES January 26-28, 2026: In situ Electron Microscopy
An in situ electron microscopy workshop (transmission-TEM, scanning-SEM) is being organized by COST Action 21121 MecaNano at CEMES-CNRS in Toulouse. The goal is to familiarize users or future users of in situ deformation techniques with the setup and analysis of tests on structural materials (crystalline, metallic), with dimensions ranging from a few tens of microns to centimeters.
The workshop will take place over four half-days and will include invited talks (30 minutes), short talks (20 minutes), and two in situ electron microscopy demonstrations: nanoindentation and microcompression in a SEM-FIB and traction in a TEM by Damien Texier and Frédéric Mompiou.
The total number of places is limited to 28.
Proposals for short oral presentations (topics related to in situ microscopy or requiring the use of this technique) must be submitted on this website by November 15, 2025. Accepted presentations will receive priority registration.
The final program will be posted on November 20, 2025.
